163,902 Americans Dead, "It is What It Is"!

163,902 total Coronavirus deaths and rising, every 80 seconds an American dies from the coronavirus

Trump on 1000 coronvirus deaths a day in Axios interview with reporter, Jonathan Swan,"People are dying. And,it is what it is".

Empathy by definition is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Empathy is what is so so desperately needed in times of loss. Empathy is what is needed from presidents in troubled times. Empathy is an emotion that America's president seems to lack. In observance, it would appear that America's President doesn't express having empathy as he is incapable of feeling empathy. The president's inability to feel empathy or compassion was clear in a recent Axios interview on HBO. When Axios reporter, Jonathan Swan told the president that 1000 Americans were dying a day from the coronavirus the president answered by saying, "people are dying. And it is what it is."

Wow. I'm quite sure you could have heard a pin drop in most family rooms across America when the president said, "it is what it is". In fact, I'm quite sure the world was speechless at the president's comments. Lord knows the world has been in utter astonishment at how poorly America's president has handled the deadly pandemic. At the time of the Axios interview, over 150,000 Americans had died from the coronavirus. At present, the number is 163,902 dead. An American is now dying every 80 seconds, and today, for the first time since May, the U.S., recorded over 2000 deaths in just 24 hours. Most leaders would be horrified at those numbers, but Donald Trump is not most leaders. No, Donald Trump simply thinks, "it is what it is".

Over 163,000 Americans have died due to the coronavirus, and America's president has not once expressed his condolences to all those that have lost loved ones to the deadly pandemic. Not once. Not once has the president even so much as mentioned the number of lives lost to the coronavirus. One would think with the coronavirus task force press briefings the president might say a few words on those that have succumbed to this terrible disease. Nope, not our president. It's unimaginable, really. The president simply chooses to ignore the dead . He ignores the dead and he ignores the families and friends that have lost loved ones. It's quite remarkable. The president has not mentioned the now over 160,000 dead, yet the president has had no trouble stating how many lives could have been lost had he not put his ban on travel from China. The ban on China that was partial and that was as reported by the CDC to be too late. The president also has had no trouble stating how the pandemic response by he and his administration has been unprecedented. The president has had no trouble speaking falsehoods ad nauseum regarding the coronavirus, yet the president can't seem to bring himself to acknowledge the fact that over 160,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus. No, instead the president seemingly has chosen to completely ignore the fact that over 160,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus. Then again, perhaps the president was not aware that over 150,000 Americans, had died from the coronavirus prior to his interview with Jonathon Swan. (Now, over 160,000 Americans have died) Giving the president the benefit of the doubt, the president may well not have known over 150,000 Americans had died from the coronavirus until his interview with Jonathan Swan. How could the president possibly know how many Americans have died from the coronavirus? The president has been a busy boy. The president has been on the golf course, the president has been watching television, and the president has been tweeting incessantly. Quite frankly. I sincerely hope that the president has been far too busy with his trivial activities to not  know that over 160,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus. Not knowing that over 160,000 Americans have died from a pandemic that is far from being controlled is the only excuse for a president spending time golfing and tweeting.  Then again, perhaps over 160,000 dead Americans isn't a big deal to this president, as "it is what it is".

"It is what it is". I challenge the president to look at the television, and tell the families and friends of those 160,000 plus Americans that have died, and say,  "it is what it is". Is it to much to ask of a president to have just an ounce of empathy for those that have lost loved ones to the deadly pandemic that is upon us? Apparently so. Sadly, it's just too much to ask from a man that appears to be deeply disturbed and incapable of feeling empathy or any real emotion at all. Americans instead have a president boasting of how well he's done in his handling of the global pandemic and how fortunate we are to have him.

America is not fortunate. America is quite unfortunate. America is unfortunate as America has a leader that not only lacks the empathy needed in these troubled times, but America has a president that appears to just not care period. If the president did care about Americans, the president would do all he could to prevent death, not cause more death. Causing more death is no doubt what this president has done in his handling of the coronavirus, because the president sure as hell hasn't done much of anything to prevent death. If this president truly cared and wanted to prevent death, this president would first and foremost, wear a mask. As Senator Marco Rubio was quoted as saying back in June, "everyone should just wear the damn mask". Leaders around the world have been seen and photographed wearing masks, why not America's leader?  Why not? Because, regardless of the fact that the U.S. has more cases and more deaths than any other country in the world, the president just doesn't care. Experts have repeatedly said that masks work, and that 70,000 lives plus could have been saved had everyone across America worn a mask. That being said, America would have around 90,000 dead Americans right now and not over 160,000 Americans dead, but this president didn't care. Not only would the president wear a mask and promote the wearing of masks, but the president would also discourage schools in heavily infected areas from opening, he would encourage lock downs in heavily infected areas, and he would stress the seriousness of the pandemic  and how Americans must continue to social distance and must not let their guard down because the coronavirus is not going away anytime soon. Instead, America's president just doesn't care. America's president doesn't care and he instead chooses to continue to mislead and lie to the nation on the truths of the coronavirus.

America's president will no doubt contribute to thousands more of Americans dying from the coronavirus. Donald Trump will do this with his lies and misinformation. The fact is, the coronavirus is not going away anytime soon. At present, the majority of the nation has 40,000 or more cases of the coronavirus. The president's own great state of Florida along with California went over 500,000 cases and Texas is soon to follow.  Not only is the coronavirus not going to just magically go away anytime soon, but more and more people are dying of all ages from the coronavirus. The president has recently said repeatedly that children do not transmit the virus, and they do not get sick from the deadly virus . That being said, the president expects and wants schools in all 50 states to open. Unfortunately, the president is wrong as he is on most of his information regarding the coronavirus. Children DO in fact transmit the coronavirus, and children Do and have gotten sick and died from the coronavirus. As millions of Americans send their children back to school , they will be playing Russian roulette with their children's lives and their own. However, America's president won't have to worry about the health of his son, Baron and his family. Donald Trump won't have to worry because,  Baron will not be attending school this fall as his son's school will be closed. Sadly, millions of Americans will be putting their children's lives in danger, but as the president says, "it is what it is".

"It is what it is", maybe easy for America's president, Donald Trump to say, but I can guarantee the president. that "it is what it is ", is not so easy for the mothers of two children ages 6 and 7 that just recently died from the coronavirus to say. "It is what it is", isn't so easy for the men and women that have lost the loves of their lives to say. "It is what it is", isn't so easy for the children that have lost one or both parents from this deadly pandemic that is still very much upon us to say.  "It is what it is" is that  163,902 Americans have died. That's 163,902 Americans that had faces, they had names, and they had lives. Not only did those 163,902 Americans that died have faces. names, and lives,  but they had families, friends, and pets that loved them, but this president doesn't care. To again quote the president, "people are dying , and it is what it is".
