DUMP TIRED TRUMP!

         Donald Trump is the bad gift that won't go away. This past week Americans got to witness the has been politician and former president make an utter fool of himself as he announced he would be running for president in 2024. Members of Mar-a-lago revealed that the Donald intended to announce his candidacy on election night. He did not as there were not enough people attending his club election night to make him appear popular as he's anything but popular at present at his own club. When the Donald realized his declining popularity, he apparently imported "Bikers for Trump" and MAGA brainwashed supporters to come to his club to observe his pathetic bid for 2024. If it wasn't bad enough that members of Mar-a-lago were held captive at his club by secret service men preventing anyone from leaving the club, members were also forced to listen to the Donald deliver his seemingly never ending speech while being surrounded by non members AKA "commoners". If the Donald was difficult for those present to watch it was equally as difficult for every news network as every network including Fox News panned away from the Donald's speech. While the Donald appeared to have already been dumped by the Fox News, he seemed to still have a fan in Sean Hannity, or not? Even Sean Hannity went away from the Donald's desperate plea for support as the Republican presidential; candidate for 2024. 

       When will the GOP dump Trump? The Donald once called Jeb Bush, "low energy", well someone needs to give the Donald a good jolt of something, because everyone watching the Donald nearly fell asleep as they listened to the Donald go on ,and on ,and on , and on, spewing lie ,upon lie , upon lie, upon lie. I think even Donald himself nearly fell asleep . I truly believe he bored himself to death.  To be blunt, the speech was painful to watch, and painful to have to listen to as it was unmoving , invigorating, and uninteresting leading anyone not brainwashed by the orange conman to ask ,when is the GOP going to dump Trump?

    What will it take for Republicans to stop bowing down to the Donald? For that matter ,what will it take for the Donald to be sent to prison,?   Anyone else would be in prison for having done what the Donald has done. Donald Trump was behind the January 6th insurrection , which will go down as the most embarrassing day in our nation's history. It was the day the world watched our nation look like a third world country as Trump supporters stormed our nations capital. The January 6th insurrection took place, because a deranged 70 plus year old man failed to accept he lost the 2020 election. That alone as according to the 14th amendment, should prevent him from ever again holding public office. 

     Dump Trump! If inciting an insurrection isn't enough to land the pathetic former president in prison, taking classified documents and leaking classified intel to other nations certainly should land the Donald in prison. Anyone else would already be in prison having taken classified information, and certainly classified intel leading to an emergency extraction of an asset inside the Kremlin, but not the Donald. Why? Could it be that the Donald has been known to be tied to the mob? The Donald certainly just recently threatened all who failed to support him in his bid for the White House. Even the Donald's daughter in-law is sounding like a mobster's wife . In a recent interview Lara Trump gave a warning to fellow Republican Ron DeSantis as she said that DeSantis knew how "ugly" these races could get and he would be best to wait till 2028 to run for president. 

   Republicans need to dump Trump. Republicans just barely won the House and lost the Senate in the mid terms which was a huge victory for President Joe Biden and the Democrats. Americans have spoken. Americans used their voices with their votes as to say enough is enough with the lunacy. Americans want politicians in the middle that will work for them. Americans want politicians that care about  America more than their own political ambitions. They want politicians who care about our democracy , our constitution, and our freedom. Americans have spoken and the majority of Americans have already dumped Donald Trump. Americans elected President Joe Biden ,  as they are sick and tired of "Tired Trump", and it is time for the GOP to also be tired of "Tired Trump" and DUMP TRUMP!

     The Espionage Act of 1917 was  was intended to prohibit interference with military operations or recruitment, to prevent insubordination in the military, and to prevent the support of United States enemies during wartime It made it a crime:

• To convey information with the intent to interfere with the operation or success of the armed forces of the United States or to promote its enemies' success. This was punishable by death or imprisonment for not more than 30 years or both.
• To convey false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies when the United States is at war, to cause or attempt to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, refusal of duty, in the military or naval forces of the United States, or to willfully obstruct the recruiting or enlistment service of the United States. This was punishable by a maximum fine of $10,000 or by imprisonment for not more than 20 years or both.

The Act also gave the Postmaster General authority to impound or refuse to mail publications the postmaster determined to violate its prohibitions.^[13]

The Act also forbids the transfer of any naval vessel equipped for combat to any nation engaged in a conflict in which the United States is neutral.     Oh how things have changed. In 2016, I, a staunch Republican, and Trump supporter chanted, "lock her up"at the former president's rallies. At present, I yell, "lock him up" at my television screen. As a Trump supporter, I only watched the ever so extremely biased Fox News network. Therefore, I wasn't informed on the facts. The fact was when it came to Hillary's emails, there was no evidence beyond a reasonable doubt as to prosecute Hillary Clinton. There was no evidence of a crime. There is no comparison between Hillary Clinton's emails and Donald Trump's taking, mishandling, and refusing to handover classified, and special compartmentalized documents period. Hillary Clinton willfully handed over some 30 devices to the justice department, while Donald Trump can say he cooperated with the justice Department all he wants, but he did not. Hence, the search warrant on the former president's club, Mar-a-lago. 

   Donald Trump did not cooperate with the justice department. If the former president had cooperated, there would have been no need for the search warrant. The search warrant conducted on August 8th, enabled the FBI to retrieve more than 100 documents marked, "classified". Some of these documents were found in Trump's desk. This, after the Justice Department had knowledge of the former president having over 184 unique documents which they retrieved earlier this year, and let us not forget, another 38 documents in June. All that aside, why did the former president have over 322 individual classified, and top secret SCI documents in his possession? Trump, Fox News, and all those who support him keep saying that a search warrant on a former president is "unprecedented". Well, a former president taking documents, let alone classified, and top secret special compartmentalized documents, is "unprecedented"! Lock Trump up!

    Millions of Americans are scratching their heads asking why has the former president not been indicted, or locked up for having government classified documents that don't belong to him in his possession? If anyone else had the same documents in their possession, they would have been indicted, convicted ,and imprisoned by now. In fact, others that have not had the number of classified documents nor as sensitive documents in their possession as Trump, had have done and are doing time in prison. These people were not given an opportunity to take months to hand over such documents, nor were they afforded the time to hand over documents in their possession that they had not handed over when initially asked. These people did not have the luxury of their attorney being present during a search warrant if one was needed, as it is deemed highly unusual and not the norm for an attorney to be present during their client's property being searched. Furthermore, these people did not have a judge whom they had hand picked to rule that there would be a special master to go through the evidence obtained by the Justice Department. These people were given zero special treatment, while the former president is given every opportunity to escape being indicted, and I want to know, why?

   Why has Donald Trump not been indicted? Why has Trump not been locked up? Why was Trump not indicted and imprisoned back in 2017, when a Russian asset had to be extracted from the Kremlin after then President Trump had stupidly, or purposely leaked highly classified intelligence with the Russian Foreign Minister? I'm aware a president can't be prosecuted, but where do we draw the line? Our CIA puts years of work into soliciting assets in foreign countries. Once assets are compromised it's done. It's not an "oops, I'm so sorry, and I can fix this". You can't just fix leaking classified intel with a band aid. No, it takes years of hard work on the part of our secret intelligence. Donald Trump should have been locked up then, and again, I have to ask why?

     Why? Why, is we have a big, fat, spoiled brat of a bully in former president, Donald Trump. He's a bully that uses mobster tactics as to get his way, and it has to stop. If our Justice Department allows Donald Trump to get away with having classified documents in his possession that may have compromised agents, and or assets, or worse gotten them killed, then we are a nation of lawlessness. The Justice Department must stand up to Donald Trump, regardless of his threats to those who oppose him, and his threats of his supporters rioting in the streets. Let them riot, and let them suffer the consequences. If it means America will be at the point of a civil war, so be it.

  Millions of Americans watched their televisions in horror on January 6th. Billions of people from other nations also watched their televisions in horror. January 6th was the biggest embarrassment to our nation. At first glance ,one would have thought they were watching a third world country or a country run by a Dictator that was under a coup attempt, but they were not. They were watching the United States of America be anything, but united as Trump's supporters stormed the capitol. They stormed the capitol due to Trump inciting a coup attempt, after he had admitted to friends that he knew he had lost the election. Donald Trump should have been imprisoned on that very day, but he was not. Anyone else inciting a coup on our government would have been arrested and imprisoned, but not Donald Trump. 

   Lock him up! Indict him, and lock him up now! If not, then I suppose we are a nation of complete lawlessness. I guess everyone can get on social media and threaten whom ever they don't like as to not be held accountable for their wrong doings and or crimes. Because, you can't not indict, and convict the former president, for a crime, and convict others for the same crime, because they failed to threaten the authorities. If we do, then we have allowed Donald Trump the power of a Dictator, and the power to do as he pleases. Be it tamper with our elections, threaten those who oppose him, stage a coup, commit treason, cavort with our enemies, and so on. Where does it end? I hope it ends with Donald Trump in prison. Isn't it funny how I once chanted, "lock her up" and I now chant, "lock Trump up"?

TRUMP KNEW HE LOST

    "Don't worry Sean, the president, (Donald Trump) knows he lost the election", my client said. "The president and Melania are just figuring it all out." Only days after the election, a client of mine assured me that the former president knew he had lost the 2020 presidential election and that he and the First Lady, Melania were just figuring things out. I was told the day after the election that the former president and First Lady entertained a couple from Palm Beach who also were a couple of the former president's biggest donors. The couple had from what I was told, donated handsomely, and had come to see the new gazebo in the Rose Garden. As I had expressed my concern that I was quite fearful that Donald Trump would refuse to leave the White House if he lost the presidency, my client wanted to assure me that the president would indeed leave the White House. My client assured me that the former president knew he had lost. He had accepted his loss, and he and the First Lady were just trying to decide where to go and what to do after they left Pennsylvania Avenue. They discussed their future over beverages in the Rose Garden as gleeful Biden/Harris supporters could be heard cheering in the streets. They were just figuring things out, such as where son Baron would attend school, and where they would live. Quite understandably, the then president's mood was quite somber. So too, was the First Lady's mood. From what I was told First Lady, Melania was quite casual and not her usual made up fashionable self. It was a couple thats days were numbered in the White House and from what I was told they knew it. I was told, I had nothing to worry about, and that then President Donald Trump, would do the "right thing" and would leave the White House without a fight. 

      Unfortunately for America, the former president did not do the right thing. No, unfortunately for America, the former president chose to lie to his supporters. He peddled his big lie that the election was stolen, and the result was the insurrection on January 6th. January 6th, will forever go down as one of America's darkest days. It is a day that will forever be a blemish on our nation's history. It is a day that America was at its lowest, and a day that should never ever be repeated. January 6th, was a day that could have been the end of our democracy thanks to a man who lied and encouraged his supporters to rise up and fight for him. Donald Trump lied. Donald Trump knew he lost the election. "Don't worry Sean", she said. "The president knows he lost the election."

You've Come Along Way Baby, Or Not?

       Friday, June 24th 2022 will go down as the worst day in American history for women. The constitutional right of women to an abortion was taken away. The Supreme Court gave the power to the states to ban abortion. At present, half of the states will pass or have already passed laws banning abortion. Many other states have placed strict regulations on abortion. Many of these states have zero tolerance and give no exception for an abortion. Abortions are not allowed even in the cases of rape, incest, and ill health of the unborn fetus and or in the case of a mother's well being. The states banning abortion have zero tolerance for abortion paving the way for a future of multiple suicides, and death of women attempting to abort the unborn fetuses themselves . The United States Supreme Court has officially taken women back to the 1900s.

     Prior to Roe vs. Wade thousands of women died due to unwanted pregnancies. Today, in countries around the world where abortion is not permitted, approximately 8 to 11 precent of the maternal deaths are caused by illegal or self inflicted abortions. Many women attempting a self inflicted abortion die of septic shock. The United States has now turned back the hands of time for women which will inevitably lead to a tragic future for both women and unwanted children. 

   Unwanted children. Did Republicans think about them? Children born to drug addicted women who can't care for themselves let alone a child, who's going to care for them? Who's going to pay for the mental problems children born to drug addicted women? Republicans  have focused on mental illness being the leading cause for mass shootings, well get ready for even more mental illness. What about the unwanted children that will have a life of being unloved and who will have no upbringing due to not being wanted? What about the unwanted children that will die due to not being treated medically due to a mother who can not afford healthcare for her child? No, Republicans didn't think of the cost of unwanted children, because they didn't think period when they pushed the Supreme Court to overturn Roe Vs. Wade. They didn't think, because it won't be them who will pay for the medical costs, and increase in welfare due to unwanted children. It will be the middle class who will pay even higher taxes to pay for the increase in needed funds for welfare of these unwanted children. 

    No, Republicans did not think at all when they urged the Supreme Court to over turn Roe Vs. Wade. They didn't think about unwanted children. They didn't think about children born to drug addicts, they didn't care if a pregnancy was out of incest, or rape, and they also didn't care about unhealthy fetuses putting mothers at risk or pregnancies of seriously ill women who can die if forced to carry a baby to full term.. Republicans didn't think, because they didn't care. All Republicans cared about was their "pro-life" agenda, never once thinking about the consequences, and there will be severe consequences. 

   Republicans didn't think, and I will admit I myself at one time didn't think. I, a longtime Republican and now anti-Trumper was once against abortion except in the cases of rape, incest, and poor health of a fetus. As my great grand mother once said , "if you can take the time to do it, you can take the time to have it". Well, I now realize it's not that black and white. Abortion is the best solution for women who do not have the means to take care of a child. Abortion is the best solution for women who are drug addicts living on the streets. Abortion is the best solution when the fetus is deemed terminally ill and destined for a short life of suffering . In the wild, many mothers will either kill or abandon their unhealthy young. Abortion is sometimes the most humane solution for an unhealthy child. Abortion is the best solution for a woman that will die if she carries her child full term due to underlying issues. Abortion is the best solution in many cases. While I do not agree with abortion being used in place of birth control, I do feel it should be the choice of the woman and it is a choice that that woman will have to live with for the rest of her life. 

   "You've come along way baby", was a famous slogan for Virginia Slims cigarettes back in 1968 celebrating the women' s lib movement. Well, apparently women have not come along way after all. Having the choice of having or not having a child taken away is taking away the voice of women. Women's voices no longer matter thanks to Republicans and their extremist religious views. Extremist religious views that truth be told many Republicans don't adhere to themselves. What the Supreme Court and Republicans have done is they have shown that the rights of women are always up for debate showing us that women have not come along way we have gone in reverse. You've come along way baby? Think again!

A Solution, Perhaps?

     To enroll in the military one is given a TAPAS test. "TAPAS", stands for Tailored Adaptive  Personality Assessment System. The TAPAS test is a 120 question non-cognitive exam which is used to predict performance, behavior, and attitudes of potential soldiers. A similar test is given to those enrolling in the police academy as well. Why is such a test given? Obviously, so that someone who is mentally unstable doesn't end up with a weapon that can kill. Clearly the military and police departments don't want someone mentally ill having a gun. Why then does the United States allow guns to be sold without such a test? Shouldn't the same TAPAS test or a similar test be given to each and every potential gun owner? 

  The Republicans have been blaming all mass shootings on mental illness, well do something! I've about had it with Republicans in Washington blaming mental illness and how this country needs to help the mentally ill. It's as if the Republicans have just invented the light bulb. Republicans sure didn't talk about mental illness when Donald Trump was in the White House, and they controlled both the House and the Senate. No, Republicans did nothing regarding mental illness, because they didn't care. They didn't care, and they still don't, but gee, it sure sounds good now as an argument for mass shootings being the main cause. Because, Republicans sure as heck don't want to blame mass shootings on the lack thereof red flag laws, and they don't want to place the blame on selling guns to those under 21, and they don't want to place the blame on the lack of extensive background checks, and it's not semi-automatic and automatic weapons . No, Republicans are choosing to place blame on mental illness as the leading cause for mass shootings today. 

   I agree. I agree with Republicans to a point. I do agree that a good portion of those committing mass shootings are most definitely mentally ill, but they could just be pure evil. Those who are filled with anger and hatred are not always mentally ill. That being said, where's the plan? Where and what is the plan to keep those who are mentally ill, and or unstable from purchasing a firearm? Presently, there are talks about raising the age to 21 for the purchase of an AR-15 or AK-47. Raising the age limit to purchase an AR-15 or AK-47 to 21 is not a solution to the problem of keeping guns out of the possession of the mentally ill. The Republicans continue to use "mental illness", as their talking point for gun control, yet they fail to come up with a plan as to prevent those who are mentally ill from purchasing ANY gun, let alone an AK-47 or AR-15.  

  Currently, under federal law, anyone who has been involuntarily committed to a mental institution or who is determined by a lawful authority as a danger to others as a result of mental illness is banned from owning a firearm. That's terrific, but it's a law which is obsolete. It is obsolete in that few people today are involuntarily committed. The federal law is also not followed by several states as the definition for mental illness varies from state to state . Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, and New Hampshire rely on the federal umbrella law and they at present don't have a specific law banning those with mental illness from owning a firearm. That being said, it's no wonder this country has numerous mass shootings. 

  Does mental illness play a part in mass shootings ? Most definitely, but what are Republicans doing about it? What is their plan? Furthermore, how do we keep firearms out of the hands of those who have never been diagnosed with a mental illness? What about those who never seek help for fear of being diagnosed with a mental illness? What about the abusive boyfriend or husband who has a collection of guns but has never been reported for his abuse? What about the suicidal student who has never asked for help for fear of having to leave school? What about the woman on anti depressants who gets her meds from an OBGYN, under the pretense of PMS? What about every person currently on mood stabilizers, anti-depressants, and anti psychotics? What about them? Do we have any laws preventing anyone taking these medications from purchasing a firearm? No, and there in lies the problem.

   The solution is simple. The solution is reasonable and the solution will not prevent anyone who is mentally stable from owning a firearm. We need to raise the age limit. We need to conduct more thorough background checks. We need red flag laws, and every applicant for a firearm should be required to take a TAPAS test as to prove mental stability, and maturity. Lastly, we need to bring back the ban of 2021 banning all assault weapons. No responsible and mature gun owner should have any issue with these requirements. If these requirements are too much to ask of prospective gunners, I have to ask why? Why would anyone be opposed to more restrictive requirements for purchasing a firearm if it means making our nation's schools safer? Or our churches, shopping malls, night clubs, concerts, etc. safer ? It's not about you or I. It's about Americans . It's about making you, myself, our children, my neighbor, and your neighbors safer. It's about making America safe again.

 It cannot be emphasized enough, however, exactly what the AR-15 is: It is a weapon of war. It was made to blow humans apart. It is successful in doing just that. The requests for DNA tests in Uvalde stand as a testament to the gun’s success, but the conclusion that the weapon excelled at blowing people apart was well documented by the U.S. military itself during early field tests.

  Viet Cong fighters hit with the weapon were frequently decapitated and dismembered, many looking as though they had “exploded.” A field report documented how an AR-15 had blown up a man’s head and turned another’s torso into “one big hole.”

      Some twenty more mass shootings since the massacre in Uvalde, and Republicans would rather argue their right to own an assault weapon or as many automatic and semi automatics as they please than work with Democrats as to come up with a solution to the mass shooting epidemic taking place here in America.I have to ask every Republican in Washington, what would you do if your child were shot and killed while in school? I have to also ask every Republican in Washington what would you do if your child, or a loved one were shot and you couldn't see their face one last time to kiss he or she good bye because their head was blown off to the point their head looked like road kill or like a melon that had been smashed into the pavement? I have to also ask every Republican , have you ever been to the crime scene of a mass shooting? If not, perhaps you should.Two of the children killed in the Uvalde shooting had their bodies polarized and were decapitated by the AR-15 used in the shooting as described by the pediatrician who viewed what was left of their little bodies.Thankfully, none of us, or our lawmakers will ever have to view the carnage of a mass shooting, then again if our lawmakers continue to do nothing regarding gun safety, some of us may. That being said, maybe those Republicans against more restrictive gun laws should be forced to view the carnage of a mass shooting.

  Field trip? Perhaps a Republican field trip to the morgue is what is needed to get our Republican lawmakers to take action. Every Republican not in favor of more restrictive gun laws should take a trip to the morgue and view the corpses of those shot and killed by an Ar-15, AK-47, or similar weapons. I have to wonder, would Republicans walk away and continue to fight for the people's right to own a weapon that can destroy the bodies of multiple people in a short period time? I fear the answer is yes, as today Republican Congressman Jim Jordan actually walked out of the House hearing on gun violence today. Apparently, the Congressman couldn't handle the testimony. The Congressman can sure mouth off about much about nothing, but he can't sit and listen to the testimony of those who lost loved ones in recent mass shootings.Why? The answer is quite clear. The answer is Jim Jordan knows he's a part of the problem. Jim Jordan knows damn well that he and his fellow Republican constituents, and their failure to actually do their job, and work towards putting together a bill or bills for more restrictive gun laws are why those 19 children and two adults and every other mass shooting victim are in morgues or cemetaries across this once, and yes, I say this "once" great nation. 

    Does any American really need an AR-15 in the U.S.? Does anyone really need an AK-47? Does anyone really need any semi-automatic or automatic weapon in this country? These weapons of which I'm speaking are meant for war. They are meant to kill as many humans as possible in a short amount of time. Republicans argue that it's their 2nd amendment right to own an AR-15. Well, I guess using Republican logic, it's also my right to own a cannon, bomb, or long range missile. I personally do not own a cannon, bomb or long range missile. I do not feel the need to have any weapon that can kill multiple people in a short amount of time , nor does anyone else. A simple pistol, shotgun, or rifle can protect me if I am in need of protecting myself and my loved ones. 

  No one needs an AR-15, or any similar weapon and the majority of this nation agrees that these weapons should be again banned. The Assault weapons ban of 2021 should be reinstated, and anyone opposing this ban should first take a field trip to the morgue. If Congress is going to vote yes or no on a ban on assault weapons they should first view a corpse or photo of a body or bodies that have been hit by an assault weapon. Our congressmen and women should also picture their mother, father, or child in that capacity and then cast their votes. Assault weapons not only kill, but they destroy. Is this what we want for America? An America in which Americans fear to send their kids off to school? An America in which Americans are in fear at the super markets, at church, concerts and social gatherings? Former President Donald Trump vowed he would make America great again. Well, America was not made great again, and America can never be great until Americans feel safe and America is made safe again.

How Many Dead Children Are Worth A seat In D.C?

    How many dead children are worth a seat in D.C.? Wake up Republicans ! Americans are angry, and you as lawmakers should be angry as well. This past week 19 children, and two adults were shot and killed in yet another mass shooting, and the majority of Republican lawmakers are still against a ban on semi-automatic and automatic weapons . What will it take? What will it take for Republicans to wake up and decide to work with Democrats? It takes just as much energy to fight Democrats as it does to work with them. The nation is weeping. The nation is weeping and the nation is begging for help. The nation is begging our lawmakers to take action and vote for change . The Republicans blame mental illness for mass shootings, well perhaps Republicans should take a good look in the mirror. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Well, Republicans are doing just that. Republicans refuse to pass more restrictive gun laws and the United States continues to have mass shootings . Shocker, our current gun laws or lack thereof aren't working.  

    Wake up Republicans! Nineteen children were killed this past week. Perhaps Republicans need one to be morbid and blunt. Nineteen children died alone on a cold school floor. Nineteen children were shot in cold blood . Nineteen children were either left beyond recognition or left to bleed out . Those that bled out, suffered miserably. These were babies, babies, and all Republicans can do is argue their 2nd amendment right. Seriously? What in hell is wrong with the majority of our Republican lawmakers today? Nineteen children 10 and under were massacred right in front of their classmates. Some classmates dialed 911 and begged for help. The 911 operator was told 8-9 children were still alive. The local authorities failed to act. They failed to act, and 19 children and two adults died. No one can begin to imagine what those children and teachers went through last week. No one. No one can imagine the terror, the fear, and the pain that was inflicted on those that were killed, injured, or those that survived. No one can imagine the pain of the loved ones that are now burying their children. No one can imagine, but those that have been victims themselves  or who have lost loved ones in a mass shooting. Then again, sadly there are many people who can empathize with the victims' families, and survivors of the Uvalde, Texas massacre. To date, there have been 214 mass shootings this year in the U.S. Twenty-seven of them have been school shootings, and more than 17,300 people have lost their lives in mass shootings . Wake up Republicans, wake up!

    How many dead children are worth a seat in D.C.? What will it take for Republicans to do their jobs and reach across the aisle and work with Democrats as so Americans can again feel safe? At present, many Americans today are afraid to send their children off to school, and for good reason. At present, many Americans have stopped going to church for fear of being caught in a mass shooting. At present,  many Americans are fearful just going to a supermarket for fear of being shot. At present, a good many Americans have stopped attending sports events , concerts, plays, and so forth. I myself, stopped going to movie theaters some time ago as I have often thought a movie theatre to be unsafe in today's America. As it turns out, I am not alone. I am also not alone in that I no longer feel safe going to a shopping mall. If I need something, I go in and out as quickly as possible. I no longer leisurely stroll through the local mall and browse and shop. I feel it's unsafe, and that is the America we live in today. We live in an unsafe America. What will it take? 

     What will take for Republicans to come around and admit that this nation is in desperate need of gun reform? God knows it hasn't taken 214 mass shootings this year taking place in a nation that has more guns than people. God knows, it didn't even take 19 small children being killed this past week. What will it take? The former president, Donald Trump made an appearance at this week's NRA convention. He certainly wasn't going to miss a moment to stand his ground on the right to bear arms and do his onstage jiggle only moments after speaking briefly about the slain children.  Republican Senator Ted Cruz  also went proudly to the NRA convention. Ted Cruz firmly stood his ground on not being for gun reform,  or a ban on assault weapons. Ted Cruz mouthed off that what was better than a bad guy with a gun, was a good guy with a gun. Well Ted, 19 good guys did have guns the other day, and they did nothing. Nothing is what 19 local police officers with guns did, nothing. For 77 minutes while children were being terrorized, shot, killed, and bleeding out, the local authorities did absolutely nothing. Well they did do something. The local authorities did nothing to help the children, but they did taser, spray mace, and handcuff parents that desperately tried to run in and help their children. Apparently, they did nothing as they were told to stand down by their supervisor due to not having the right protective gear. That being said Ted, if 19 good guys didn't have the right gear to go up against a bad guy with an AR-15, then why in hell is any average American citizen allowed to buy an AR-15? Let me add that in war, soldiers are given emergency care as so they can prevent the wounded from bleeding out by trained individuals. These poor children didn't have access to emergency care, these poor children just bled out.  What say you Ted?What say you? The fact is, you and Governor Abbott of Texas haven't got a leg to stand on in your defense of not passing more restrictive gun laws. Oh, you'll have to forgive me, the Governor can't stand. What will it take? 

  What will it take for Republicans to go back to Washington and pass a bill to ban all automatic and semi-automatic weapons that were meant not for sport, but were meant for use by the military? The inventor of the AR-15 himself never used the weapon for sport, he never brought the weapon home. The AR-15 was meant for the military. No American needs an AR-15 or any weapon similar to defend their families and themselves. No American needs a weapon that can kill multiple people in a short amount of time. If an American wants an AK-47 or AR-15 I know he or she can get several. I suggest that those Americans wanting a military weapon join the army.  In the army they can have as many automatic weapons as they please, but they will have to pass a substantive mental stability/personality test first. What will it take? 

   What will it take for republicans to wake the flip up and decide they should do their jobs and vote for more restrictive gun laws for the better of this once great nation? If 19 children and two adults dying a horrific death due to a mass shooting, can't change the minds of Republican lawmakers,  I fear nothing will change the minds of those Republicans not wanting to pass more restrictive gun laws. What will it take? Is having millions of  NRA dollars put into the campaigns of Republicans worth the lives of now close to 2000 Americans that have lost their loves this past year ? Is being re-elected worth selling one's soul? How many dead children are worth a seat in the senate or house? How many dead grandmothers and grandfathers are worth a seat in Washington? How many dead Americans will it take for Republicans to say enough is enough? Make America great again Republicans ? How about make America safe again? Republicans, the nation is weeping, the nation is mourning, the nation is in distress. What will it take Republicans ?

What Are We Doing? Nothing!

 "What are we doing? There Are more mass shootings than days in the year."-Sen. Chris Murphy Ct.

     Yesterday, in a powerful speech on the senate floor just after yet another mass shooting, Senator Chris Murphy asked, what are we doing? Nothing! Sadly, much about nothing is what Washington has done regarding gun control or lack thereof gun control. Nothing. Nothing because Republicans would rather do nothing than piss off the NRA, gun toting voters, and the lobbyists. Nothing, because money and votes are more important than lives. Even the lives of small children. Almost 10 years ago 26 people were tragically killed by a 20 year olden Sandyhook, Connecticut.  Twenty were children between the ages of 6 and 7 years old and 6 were adults. Yesterday, at a Texas elementary school 19 children and two adults were killed. What are we doing ? Yes, Mr. Senator ,I and Millions of Americans would love to ask those Republican lawmakers against passing more strict gun control laws, what are you doing? 

     Nothing is what the Senate has done and continues to do. Despite almost 90% of Americans asking for more thorough and strict background checks and gun control laws , the Senate does nothing! I and millions of Americans would love to know just what in hell are our lawmakers in Washington doing. While I wouldn't wish the loss of a child on anyone, I can't help, but wonder if Senator Ted Cruz would support restrictive gun laws if one of his children were tragically killed at school. For that matter, I'd like to ask every Republican against restrictive gun laws just what are you doing and what would it take for you to do something? Perhaps if it were the grandmother of a Republican lawmaker that were gunned down at the grocery school in Buffalo, New York, Republicans would do something. Sadly, Republicans continue to play political games and innocent lives are lost. What are you doing in Washington?

      How many more mass shootings will it take before Republicans actually decide to do something regarding gun control? How many more innocent lives will be lost before Republicans do something, anything? How many Americans will suffer the loss of a child, mother, father, sister or brother before Republicans decide to take action as to protect the lives of Americans ? Americans voted for lawmakers to go to Washington and work to protect their rights and their lives. Americans voted for lawmakers because they had faith that they would do the right thing for the people of this once great nation that's now fallen from grace. Yes, Senator Murphy, what are your fellow senators doing in Washington? Nothing Mr. Senator. Nothing.

The Ukrainians Decided ...

           "For God's sake this man cannot remain in power."

   "That's not for Biden to decide. The president of Russia is decided by the Russians."

    Just as Mr. Dimitry Peskov believes that the president of Russia should be decided by the Russians, I say this , "the president of the Ukraine is decided by the Ukrainians". The Ukrainian people elected Volodymyr Zelensky to be their president, they did not vote for Vladimir Putin to the their president. The Kremlin made it loud and clear that the Russian president is decided by the Russians. Likewise, the Ukrainian president is decided by the Ukrainians. 

    That being said, there is no reason for President Biden to walk back what was said. Biden spoke the truth. Biden has no reason to apologize. Biden has a right to his opinion and I am quite confident that the majority of the world would agree that Vladimir Putin cannot remain in power. President Biden was correct in his speech. Vladimir Putin is indeed a butcher. The world has witnessed hell on earth in the Ukraine caused by Vladimir Putin and his military. The world has watched as Putin has unleashed his wrath on every living creature and human being in the Ukraine. Only a dictator and a butcher would target women, children, babies, and senior citizens. Only a butcher would have his army burn human beings, horses, dogs, cats and other animals alive. Make no mistake. The Ukrainian people do not want Vladimir Putin to be their president. The Ukrainian people voted and they decided that President Volodymyr Zelensky should be their president. Russian soldiers are not wanted, and they are not needed as the Ukrainian people have spoken and therefore the Russian soldiers should get the hell out of Ukraine. Yes, I agree Mr. Dimitry Peskov, America should not decide who is to be the Russian president and right back at you, Russia should not decide who is to be the Ukrainian president.
