Were Afghan Men The Fall Of Afghanistan?

Were Afghan men the fall of Afghanistan? Had women been able to join the Afghan army, would Afghanistan have fallen in a matter of days? I wonder. Women had everything to lose if Afghanistan fell to the Taliban, and absolutely nothing to gain. The men in the Afghan army were underpaid, that is if they were paid at all. With a a corrupt government enabled and paid for by several administrations here in the U.S., the Afghan army had little for which they were fighting. While Afghan government officials were living in the lap of luxury, those in the Afghan army were at times living on a sack of potatoes, and little if any pay.  The Afghan men were also living a western way of life which by all indications may not have been what the majority of men wanted for Afghanistan. While the American presence provided the freedom for Afgahns to live in freedom, the reality is ,Afghanistan is a country where approximately 99% of its citizens favor living under Sharia law.

Sharia law is exactly why the women of Afghanistan would have fought to the death before allowing the Taliban to take over their country. Despite little to no pay, a good many women would have gladly fought the Taliban if it meant losing their freedoms.  While the Taliban claims that they will continue to allow women to have rights,  their actions thus far say otherwise. The fact is, under Sharia law women have no rights. Under Sharia law many women feel they might as well be dead. In fact, many Afghan women have made suicide pacts as they would prefer to end their lives than live under the rule of the Taliban and Sharia law.

It's no surprise that many women would rather die than live under Sharia law. Sharia law for women is total submission. Sharia law for women is women having no rights period. Women under Sharia law are covered from head to toe. Under the rule of the Taliban women will no longer be allowed to show their faces nor their hands. Women will be forced to wear a Burqa where women have a small veil over their eyes. The freakish clothing is only a small component of Sharia law, as the biggest component of Sharia law is the fact that women have zero rights. Women under Sharia law will no longer be allowed to work and women certainly will no longer be allowed to hold positions in their government. Under Sharia law women are not allowed the freedom to leave the homes without being accompanied by a male escort. Essentially, women are enslaved by their husbands as well as the law. Women are completely subservient to their husbands, and they are no longer free to divorce their husbands. If  Afghan women are treated badly by their husbands, they must stay with their husbands as that is the law of the land. Any women that dare challenge their husbands can be stoned or beaten to death, or worse she can be burned alive. Suffice it to say, that to be an Afghan woman under Sharia law and the Taliban, is pure hell on earth.

Pure hell is what the women have in their future, but even worse is the hell of being a young girl in Afghanistan without an American presence. It will be more than likely that young girls will no longer be given an education under the rule of the Taliban. If they are allowed to attend school, girls will be taught what the Taliban dictates should be taught. It will be more than likely that young girls will no longer be taught how to read and write. Sadly, some young girls will be taken from their families at a young age, some as young a 7 or 8. They will be taken away and be chosen as a child bride for officials in the Taliban. I'm quite certain that the majority of Afghan women would have fought to the death and moved heaven and earth as to avoid watching their daughters be taken away as to be used as a sex slave by the barbaric and evil men of the Taliban.

Were Afghan men the fall of Afghanistan? Afghan men were a large portion of the fall of Afghanistan. Afghan men had little to lose and everything to gain or so they thought. Afghan men saw their government was corrupt and their women were now empowered and living with freedoms that a lot of Afghan men may not have liked. Perhaps the majority of men in the Afghan army preferred life under Sharia law. Over the past year and a half, it was reported that a good many men in the Afghan Army were selling their weapons and surrendering to the Taliban without a fight. Afghan women would have fought. Despite widespread corruption, it is my guess that Afghan women would have fought tooth and nail, and to the death before they would have surrendered to the Taliban and a life of being subservient to men .  It is quite unfortunate that the Americans did not train the Afghan women in addition to, or instead of only the Afghan men. It is my belief the Afghan women would never have allowed Afghanistan to have fallen to the Taliban.
