Perhaps I need remind Trump's supporters and Republicans in Washington that Donald Trump won in 2016 due in part to his opponent. Hillary Clinton . Hillary Clinton was not a likable candidate. In fact, she was quite possibly the most hated presidential candidate to ever run for the office of the presidency. Then again, Donald Trump wasn't exactly the most likable candidate either. The fact of the matter is, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were for all intense purposes, the most least liked presidential candidates to ever run for the presidency. The kicker was they ran against one another. For the majority of Americans it wasn't about who Americans wanted to be America's 45th president , it was about voting for who Americans didn't want to be America's 45th president. Essentially, Donald Trump won, due millions of Americans holding their noses and pulling the trigger for Donald Trump.
Donald Trump did not win due to his engaging personality. Donald Trump did not win due to his experience in affairs of state. He had none. Donald Trump won because he was the less hated candidate . Had Joe Biden run for president in 2016, America might never have had to endure four years of Donald Trump. Four years of hate, division, racial tension, controversy, favoritism, prejudice, narcissism, and ignorance is what America got under Donald Trump. Not to mention America being without intelligent, leadership during a deadly pandemic. Lysol anyone?
Four years of Donald Trump and for the first time in the history of this nation we have a nation divided more than ever before. We have a nation divided due to a grown man having a temper tantrum because he lost. A grown man that has convinced both himself and his supporters that he won the 2020 election. What's frightening is Donald Trump has actually managed to manipulate his supporters into believing the big lie that he won an election that he lost. What's even more frightening, is that Donald Trump has actually convinced millions of Americans to donate to his stop the steal campaign. Over $75 million has been donated to the former president as so he can recount ballots, investigate various states , and file law suits, and yet none of that money has been spent on ballot recounts, reviews , or shenanigans. No, millions of Americans whom the former president wouldn't give the time of day to, have donated to not a "stop the steal fund" , they have donated as to help the former president continue to live his lavish lifestyle.
Donald Trump is laughing all the way to the bank, literally. Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, and he knows it. The day after the election, Donald Trump even admitted to his friends that he knew he had lost. He knew he lost, he admitted it, and yet he still incited the insurrection on January 6th, and people died because of it. That's on you Donald. Well Donald, this is to you, you lost the 2020 election, and you have no one, but yourself to blame. You lost ,and I know you lost. I know you lost, because again, if I an actual former supporter of yours could vote for President Joe Biden, so too, did over 81 million other Americans. Stop the lie Donald, you lost, because Joe Biden was the better man for the job.
